About

A traditional British village hall

Appleton Parish Council is the first tier of local government for Appleton, Warrington, Cheshire. We represent the interests of residents on matters affecting the local community, working alongside Warrington Borough Council and local organisations.

The Council is made up of elected volunteer councillors who meet regularly in public to discuss local issues, allocate the parish precept, and oversee local amenities including the parish hall, open spaces and community events.

We are committed to openness and transparency: all agendas, minutes and key policies are published in our file library, and residents are welcome to attend and speak at our meetings.

What we do

  • Represent residents' views to Warrington Borough Council and other bodies
  • Manage the parish hall and local open spaces
  • Support local events, community groups and neighbourhood initiatives
  • Set and administer the annual parish precept
  • Comment on local planning applications

Meetings

Full Council meets on the first Tuesday of each month, 7:00pm, at Appleton Parish Hall. Committee meetings are scheduled separately; see the file library for agendas.
